Email Capture
Captures all inbound (delivered) and outbound (sent), including intra domain, email messages and attachments
Automatically captures any messages delivered from the Postini Perimeter Manager quarantine
Flexible configuration to include or exclude certain organizations within an enterprise
Storage Management
Stores all archived messages and their index on mirrored, RAID protected disk storage replicated in two separate sites for maximum data integrity
Maintains a secure separation of customer records for data integrity
Long-term storage for all messages for one, three, five, or seven year retention periods, with options for extension
Automatically expunges all messages at the end of the month after their retention has expired
Offers a records hold capability that temporarily discontinues automatic message deletion, such as necessitated by notice of litigation

Authorization and Access
Permits only designated individuals to search the entire contents of a customer’s message archive with password protected access
Allows retrieval of any message in the archive based on date range, sender, recipient, subject, or content (message and attachments)
Ability to export all retrieved and/or sub-set of retrieved messages to an industry standard MBOX format
Monitoring and Reporting
Set access controls, gain visibility, and monitor user access and records usage, as well as create reports for auditing purposes
Monitors the status of usage reports that specify archive size, age of messages, pending deletion, and other analytics as configured by IT administrator
Reports include (but not limited to) usage audit and access policy enforcement
